Methodology

How we test, source and date everything

The dated-claims rule is absolute: no price, deal or incentive ships without a verification date. Here's the machinery behind the stamp.

The staleness rules

  • Any dated claim older than 60 days flags to an editor automatically.
  • Deals older than 30 days flag; expired deals unpublish and redirect to the category — never a 404.
  • Route pages are re-verified against charger check-in data before every holiday season.

Rankings

Where we rank (best EVs, best rideshare cars), the criteria are stated on the page: cost per km of range, charging speed, warranty, eligibility. Commercial relationships are disclosed and never affect the order. Where precision would be fake — insurance quotes, resale forecasts — we give frameworks instead of numbers.

Corrections

Errors are corrected with a dated note on the page. Report one via contact.
