Chargers - recharging while driving?  (Australia)

I'm wondering something. I seem to recall someone mentioning that their motor was locked out by the motor controller/charger when it was charging the batteries (this was a safety feature, and I approve of it), however I will probably end up having a Phase Two plan once my EV is finished to build a trailer that has a generator on board - effectively turning my EV into a series hybrid.

That is, at least, if there arechargers available that allow such a thing. Perhaps with the key in the ignition (heh) the safety feature is stood down, so you can drive while charging?

I think the primary reason for locking the engine out while charging is so that you don’t drive off with the extension cord still plugged in. There have been a couple of people who do charging while driving so you shouldn’t have a problem.
