Hi everyone!
Well, first my name is Sam, 25, living in Melbourne studying animation and I'm getting very enthusiastic about the prospect of converting my own electric vehicle.
Most likely donor for me will be the Mazda MX5 but I'm also looking at possibly going with the BMW Z3 for something with a bit more prestige as I want the vehicle to turn heads and help with the promotion of EV's in Australia, there's just too many reasons why we should all be driving EV's as our primary mode of ransport to continue to ignore.
Unfortunately I won't be financially set to commence my build for at least 12 months (I'd rather buy everything at once than drip feed components as I'd like to have the most recent gear at the time I'm putting it all in), so in the mean time I'll be lurking and seeking out information about EV builds other's have done before me.
If anyone has a similar conversion in Melbourne and cares to show it off for me I'd absolutely love to check it out, would definitely like to see the performance of these cars before the build goes ahead if possible and speak to some people who've gone through the process to find out how they've gone about it and what problems they had in their builds.
