Hi All  (Australia)
Let’s start the ball rolling.
My name is John Williams, I’m the General manager for Development in a small public company. I have a computer and some electronics background but have almost no mechanical experience. I am in the process of converting my first EV which is a 1992 Daihatsu Charade. I’m also the administrator of this site.

Re: Hi All  (Australia)

Hi!

I am Ben Rypstra, I don't have much experience designing and building my own things, but I work at Perth Airport as an aircraft maintenance engineer, avionics, and I have a few years experience with maintaining and troubleshooting electrical systems and all that stuff.

I'm in the process of gathering info for my own EV conversion. I'm still tossing up between a motorbike or a small car (mini or mightyboy are my current thoughts), and I'm also pondering battery type. And, well, everything else. heh.

Re: Hi All  (Australia)

Hi Guys,

I'm currently working on a smaller electric vehicle the mk3. see it at my site here: www.bjblaster.com

I've made a smaller one called "The Big Red Car" for the kids a while back and had heaps of fun building ti from scratch.

Currently wokring on a slighty bigger mk3, but also looking to convert my old 1994 camry to an AC drivetrain.

Keep up the good work

Bj

Thanks for dropping in Thalass and Bj, It's great to see others who are planning or in the middle of doing their first full conversions like me. It's going to be an interesting time for us all. Please keep me up to date on how things are going.

Hi Guys,
My name is Matt Wheeler, I am a student in Sydney. I am in the planning stages of a future EV project at the moment for when i graduate (in 3 years) and can afford it. My ideal donor car is probably a honda CRX. In the mean time i am looking to experiment with smaller projects and if possible tag along with someone else's conversion to learn the ropes.
Cheers
